Why didn't people like the Game of Thrones ending?

Third, too many themes were left unresolved. There is a fundamental rule of storytelling known as pCheckov’s Gun, which says that you do not waste the audience’s time with plot elements that are not necessary to the story. If you introduce a gun in Act 1, someone must use it before the end of the play. What happened to The Prince Who Was Promised? And what is the mystical symbol the wights create wherever they appear? Gendry is clearly the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Why was that loose end left dangling? What about Maggie the Toad’s prophecies? There was no useful resolution to the tension between Jon Snow, the rightful heir to the Targaryen Throne and Dany. More on this later. The Golden Company is presented as this unbeatable mercenary force. They get wiped out in 5 seconds. Is Tyrion a Targaryen? I could list half a dozen more, but I think you should get the point

first, it was obviously rushed because D&D had other projects to which they wanted to turn their attention.

the conclusion left a LOT to be desired. No one even acknowledges the claims of Jon Show or Gendry to the throne. Instead, they put the cripple, who has no claim and no experience whatsoever on the throne for no real good reason.

Hello, I have a question about astral projection. I started to get interested in this a little while after my mum passed in april. I thought I may be able to see her and speak with her if I managed to achieve astral projection. Since this interest, every time i sleep on my back I go into sleep paralysis. However, I cant progress into astral projection because it is very scary for me as I feel like I'm suffocating when this happens. I panic and force myself to wake up. This only ever happened about once a year before this. It sometimes lasts a long time. This has happened about 3 times per week since my mum died, as mentioned on a previous post. I no longer try to go into it anymore(due to the suffocating feeling), but it still happens. I read that sleep paralysis is the pathway to astral projection. Why has this started to happen so frequently since simply taking an interest in it? Is this connected to the afterlife? I am concerned about it as I now cannot seem to stop this happening. Could it be my mum trying to communicate? Im asking due to more knowledge around this in this group.

A thousand reasons.

oh, and they killed lady Mormont. Inexcusable.

People began to act in grossly unexpected ways without reasonable explanation. Dany spends seven years as a redemptress, protecting the small folk and freeing slaves, going to war with entrenched power. Her stated goal as a ruler is to “break the wheel” and restore justice to the downtrodden smallfolk. Then, for no real reason, she becomes a mass murderess, killing the small folk of King’s Landing unnecessarily. If she wanted to kill Cersei, she could as easily have flown over the masses huddled beneath her and incinerated the Red Keep. Jon Snow supposedly loves her so much he is willing to give up his throne for her. Does he allow her a chance to explain her behavior? No, he just stabs her out of the blue. You do not treat someone you truly love like that. Jaime Lannister spent seven seasons on a redemption arc, then suddenly uses Brienne like a two-bit whore, throws her away and runs to Cersei’s side. Tyrion is the genius. Faced with the army led by a magical foe who raises the dead to fight for him, where does Tyrion take the women and children to hide? The crypts! You know, where hundreds of dead people are buried. What, did he get a lobotomy while we weren’t looking?

Second, the end of the Night King threat was ridiculous. They spent seven f’n years building up this existential threat to humanity, imbued with magical powers and apparently immortal, only to end the threat in 5 minutes by a child using a circus trick known as a border shift! Gimme a break!
